With the New Mediators, I hope to not only offer a method for communicating complex concepts, but also to provoke attention, thinking, and eventually progress from others in this area. I posit that the world will only become more complex, and that experimentation and innovation are needed in the practice of communicating this growing complexity. As evidenced by the current U.S. Administration, transparency is becoming more and more important. But transparency in the sense of making information available is not enough. With the New Mediators my ambition is to advocate for the adoption of designed transparency—where information is not only made available, but understandable, relevant and beautiful. Such a vision leads to what I believe are some exciting future implications.
