After reading the New Ecology of Things, I was inspired to explore a series of research questions pertaining to the potential to manifest intangible relationships I saw in ubiquitous computing scenarios.
What happens in a world where interactions become tangible?
What would these interactions look like?
What if our notion of an object was expanded to include its network of relationships?
How would that change our notion of ownership?
These questions provoked my interest in finding the tangible qualities in my own process, and eventually led to the diagramming process used in the New Mediators. These questions are arranged and graphically explored in the piece Tangible Interactions.
